A friendly introduction

The first entry on the blog welcomed readers in a playful voice. It said that people who already knew the photographer could skip it, while newcomers were in for an introduction.

How the work began

The photographer, who is based in New York City, said she never expected to enjoy shooting engagements and weddings. That changed after she agreed to photograph a friend’s wedding and loved it. Afterwards she noticed how many wedding photographs looked mechanical, as if made by robots, and decided to offer something different.

Her approach

She described her style as colourful and discreet, aiming for pictures as vivid as the couple’s own memories. She also said she tried to keep people laughing during the day, since relaxed couples make better pictures.

Travel

Though New York was home, she said she welcomed travel, from nearby destinations to far-flung adventures. The post jokingly named the Amazon rainforest as a dream setting.
